After years of working with individuals with cancer, I know the value of the spiritual aspect of the human experience and its healing potential.
Along with working to find balance in life for those with chronic illness, another focus and the work of my dissertation research was with pregnant women who struggle with anxiety and depression. I work with families, couples, adolescents, and individuals who are interested in becoming a better version of themselves. Techniques I use include EMDR, Imago, Family Systems and Internal Family Systems Therapy, Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy, DBT, art, music, and Scriptotherapy. I also employ the tools of Yoga Nidra, meditation, mindfulness, and Qigong in my practice.
We all need support at times so healing with mindfulness, self-love, and self-compassion is the focus of my therapy. “Someone I loved once gave me a box full of darkness. It took me years to understand that this too, was a gift.”
